Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire Sponsorship
The inaugural Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire – Powered by TekVenture was held October 1 & 2, 2011 at Headwaters Park East.
This event was born of a partnership with MAKE Magazine (makezine.com) as a way to connect makers with each other and the general public while sharing creativity and sparking new ideas.
Over 70 makers from 10 states exhibited projects ranging from solar sewing art, to home-made jet engines, to alternative bikes on which the public could ride. Guests joined us representing 61 zip codes from throughout our region and beyond.
This event is sponsor driven and all proceeds benefit TekVenture, Incorporated. In 2011 $55,000 in-kind media was generated along with over $20,000 in other in-kind goods and or services. Please get involved and help support this incredibly unique event as we move forward with planning for 2012.
