Help Us Help You at the Maker Faire Swatch-O-Rama
So what is a Swatch-O-Rama? We are working to bring fabric artists, quilters and crafters a special treat this year. Clean out your craft drawers and bring your “junk” to the Fort Wayne Regional Maker Faire!* We’ll provide the space. You provide the fabric, threads, yarns, needles, paper, stamps and any items Makers, Crafters or Quilters might consider treasures for use in their projects. Bring to Maker Faire* and Swap away – it’s free!
Maker Faire Fort Wayne* fan favorite Casey Drudge known for his TekVenture Chain Reaction Challenge machines and 3D quilt work will be back this year. Come see Casey’s ode to Rube Goldberg machines and totally unique approach to quilting. He might even swap you a swatch to include in his next art piece.

The Power Racing Series to Pit Stop in Fort Wayne!
We’re approaching 10 registered teams at Fort Wayne’s Stop of the Power Racing Series. The series is much like a NASCAR event only teams are racing modified electric kid’s cars. Other stops along this year’s Maker Faire circuit include San Mateo, CA, Kansas City, Detroit and World Maker Faire New York
to be held Sept. 21 & 22, just a week after our Faire. Over 250,000 people might have seen some of these teams race.
We have a few lanes open so register your team in the Series or just drag race through obstacles of sand, water, gravel and mulch.
Maker Faire Fort Wayne Tickets Now Available
If you aren’t a Maker and want to check out interesting projects made by tinkerers, inventors, technologists, woodworkers, artisans, crafts people, and others, come visit us at the Maker Faire. We guarantee you will leave having learned something new, made something with your own 2 hands, or will just be inspired. Who knows, maybe you’ll find you’re a Maker too!
“The Race” is Off
Off to a great start that is. You might have seen adults riding modified kids electric ride on vehicles as they made it through obstacles of sand, water, gravel and mulch at last year’s Fort Wayne Maker Faire. We had so much fun Fort Wayne was invited to join the Power Racing Series (PPPRS). Much like NASCAR where race teams compete at stops along the circuit in order to earn points for bragging rights at the end of the season, the PPPRS will be stopping at the 2013 Fort Wayne Maker Faire. Other 2013 stops include the Bay Area, Kansas City, Detroit, and New York Maker Faires. Pretty cool for “little ole” Fort Wayne. Check out Racing Rules and register your team today.
